"Beautiful and complete holiday home. You may notice that a lot of time and attention has been paid to the restoration. Modern kitchen and bathroom but the house certainly also has old elements. Also a nice spacious garden with lots of shade. Owners very involved and helpful with, among other things, tips for walking and cycling routes. Also very dog friendly. We certainly want to come back again."
endless, peaceful countryside
"We loved touring around the local area. The Burgundy vineyards to the south and those of Southern Champagne to the North are both just a short drive away and there is endless peaceful countryside for walking, cycling, driving and eating one's baguette "en plein air". The bigger roads are very light on traffic and the lanes are pretty much deserted. Puits itself is very quiet indeed and although the gite is right in the village we only saw/heard 3 or 4 cars pass in a week. Thanks to Richard and Caroline for a great holiday. "
Lovely house with a great garden (and butterflies!) where the dog can roam safely. Beautiful surroundings (sunflowers!) and fun day trips possible. Sun all day in various spots in the spacious garden and a neat pool to float and cool off in. Kitchen and house very complete and charmingly decorated. Kind and attentive host/hostess with great tips! Dijon and Troyes are beautiful cities. Flavigny is a charming little town with an aniseed candy factory (shop and museum included) and where the film "Chocolat" (DVD and book in the cottage!) was filmed. Thanks Richard and Caroline!
We had a wonderful time at 'Les Papillons'. Both the garden and the cottage are a delight to stay in. Everything you need is there and the host is a friendly, hospitable man who is very customer-oriented. A beautiful memory!!!
We had a wonderful week in a lovingly decorated cottage with a very attentive host. We felt welcome, and any questions were answered quickly. Garden and house are delightful. We would love to come back to this beautiful area and lovely place to be.
